Each of our chapters utilizes a Facebook group that is exclusively for senior care colleagues to post relevant professional events, ask questions, share resources, and connect with other industry colleagues. Within those groups, we also have monthly giveaways. This is an opportunity to highlight a care community, agency or company.
Each chapter has a monthly, in-person meeting that provides the senior care industry opportunities for face-to-face interaction with peers, referral sources and community partners. Our goal is to foster a positive environment for professional peer support. If you know of a professional or a care community, agency or company who is new to the industry, please introduce them to your local chapter. We can assist in getting them connected and help them build their network.
We recently launched a monthly lunch in our Central Valley Chapter. It's an opportunity to learn intrapersonal skills in a small group setting. Boxed lunches are provided by a sponsor. Topics are geared towards senior care industry professionals.
Our Central Valley chapter is launching a new networking opportunity, headed by Leah Cota, the Director of Sales and Marketing from Kingston Bay Senior Living. The Senior Living Industry Market Luncheon, "SLIM," is a monthly meeting for residential communities to collaborate and discuss opportunities to better serve seniors in our community, in a non-competitive way.
We hope to develop other industry specific groups like these within the network, for more specialized discussions and collaborations.
